Which version is that? The RPM package of 4.1.0.20 has been available for a while. It says openSUSE 12.1, but installed fine on 12.2. It's also 32 bit. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Due the fact I had faced problems with previous SKYPE rpm, I started to use the alternative packages which are indivated as "static" or "dynamic" (I think it is referred to internal SKYPE libraries). If you scan inside the Download page on SKYPE site, you can find the alternative package I am talking about. By using this version I have not faced any issues so far, including audio/video, all is working perfectly. Static means that it links libraries statically, ie, it includes all or most libraries it needs, inside, instead of using whatever each distribution has. It is a more reliable method for proprietary applications (no judgement implied), but it is of course a bigger program. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R.
