Hi folks,
Just to inform eventual interested about the availability of SKYPE 4.1 for Linux.
I installed the "dynamic tar.bz" version and have to add also libQtWebKit4-32bit in order to execute the binary.
Which version is that? The RPM package of 4.1.0.20 has been available for a while. It says openSUSE 12.1, but installed fine on 12.2. It's also 32 bit.
Due the fact I had faced problems with previous SKYPE rpm, I started to use the alternative packages which are indivated as "static" or "dynamic" (I think it is referred to internal SKYPE libraries).
If you scan inside the Download page on SKYPE site, you can find the alternative package I am talking about.
By using this version I have not faced any issues so far, including audio/video, all is working perfectly.
Happy new year,
