[opensuse] What repositories going foreward?
Now that we have arrived at KDE 4.6.0, after a rather smooth "stabilization ride" I'm wondering what repositories would be be the best to be using going forward. This version has most things working, and it seems to be a joy to use KDE again. I don't mind an occasional short term breakage here and there as long as core packages continue to work. I like to be up to date, but also up and running. I've been getting KDE from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/openSUSE_11.3... Is this still the place to be for stuff that mostly works? -- No good deed goes unpunished. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Core KDE 4.6 packages: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/46/openSUSE_11.3/ Extra: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/KDE_Release_46_openSUSE... KDE:Release:46 (KR46 if you don't like typing) is always a complete snapshot of KDE:Distro:Factory, so (depending on your understanding of 'Core') it's a community-maintained snapshot of the complete set of packages that the employees commit to maintaining in openSUSE 11.4 .
Extra: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/KDE_Release_46_openSUS E_11.3/
Extra is the stuff we don't commit to maintaining.

Caveat Downloador: We are still finding a lot of low flying bugs in 4.6.0, which is why the team haven't announced KR46 yet. I expect 4.6.1 to be good enough. But if you can live with a few in your teeth, the repo URL won't change between now and 4.6.1.
