I've no found an easy way to edit the services that has to be initiated at booting. Red Hat comes with "ntsysv" that allow me do that easily. In Suse I use Yast2 but it's very tedious. I've tried to use "chkconfig" but it seems doesn't work. Saludos, Freddy Chavez.

What version are you running?

For Suse Pro 8.0 there is in Yast the option to configure your runlevels: Yast-System-Runlevel Editor ... here you can choose 1 your main runlevel itself 2 applications that should be started up at your named runlevel
I've tried to use "chkconfig" but it seems doesn't work.
See man chkconfig how to use ... also see man insserv Oliver -- ... don't touch the bang-bang fruit ...
