Now on logging in to session, I get this unhandled exception and no updater icon in the panel. The update icon hasn't work in a while so this is hardly a nuisance:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object in <0x003d6> Novell.Zenworks.Gui.ZenTrayIcon:CheckUpdatesLoop () in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void ()
Smart seems to have died, hangs on the media repo's.
Yast Online Update now appears to be broken as well. It is showing updates that have already been done, succesfully but doesn't seem to want to do any further updating.
Your RPM database is for some strange reason broken. Likely due to an earlier crash of RPM, a hardware or filesystem error or similar.
This confuses both ZMD and YAST.
Please run "rpm --rebuilddb" once.
As you know I did this. You were right about the blue check marks but I added a couple of black check marks for applications security updates for applications I installed this evening (Zope) and the updates still did not install. The vote is not in on OnLine update working or not. Any idea why the updates are still showing in the update list (in red with blue check marks), they normally dissappear from the list after being installed. And I am still getting exception handler for the Zen updater on login:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object in <0x003d6> Novell.Zenworks.Gui.ZenTrayIcon:CheckUpdatesLoop () in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void () and I don't get the update icon on the panel so that is still not working.
Appreciate your help on this. Clint
