Err, unless I misunderstood something when I clicked through and read everything, the bug has been fixed upstream and recently released. So IIUC tumbleweed will get a fix fairly soon, but 15.3 is unlikely to.

still it was defined more a feature than an issue. So even if it is not fixed, the impact should not be significant.
