There was an update of VirtualBox to 6.1.32, which appears to break USB. It produces the error: Failed to start the virtual machine Windows 10. Failed to construct device 'usb-xhci' instance #0 (VERR_PDM_DEVHLP_VERSION_MISMATCH). Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: ConsoleWrap Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed} Turning off USB allows Windows 10 to run. This also happens on my ThinkPad with USB 2, but with a slightly different error message reflecting the difference in USB.
