Hi, My postfix is having dificulties delivering email. I get lot of these: Apr 26 04:17:34 nimrodel postfix/smtp[25990]: warning: connect #6 to subsystem private/scache: Connection refused And later: Apr 26 04:18:26 nimrodel postfix/master[25785]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtp pid 25991 exit status 1 Apr 26 04:18:26 nimrodel postfix/smtp[25992]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/scache: Connection refused Apr 26 04:18:27 nimrodel postfix/qmgr[25793]: warning: premature end-of-input on private/smtp socket while reading input attribute Apr 26 04:18:27 nimrodel postfix/qmgr[25793]: warning: private/smtp socket: malformed response Apr 26 04:18:27 nimrodel postfix/qmgr[25793]: warning: transport smtp failure -- see a previous warning/fatal/panic logfile record Apr 26 04:18:27 nimrodel postfix/master[25785]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtp pid 25992 exit status 1 Apr 26 04:18:27 nimrodel postfix/smtp[25993]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/scache: Connection refused Apr 26 04:18:28 nimrodel postfix/smtp[25994]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/scache: Connection refused Apr 26 04:18:28 nimrodel postfix/qmgr[25793]: warning: premature end-of-input on private/smtp socket while reading input attribute Apr 26 04:18:28 nimrodel postfix/qmgr[25793]: warning: private/smtp socket: malformed response Apr 26 04:18:28 nimrodel postfix/qmgr[25793]: warning: transport smtp failure -- see a previous warning/fatal/panic logfile record Apr 26 04:18:28 nimrodel postfix/master[25785]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtp pid 25993 exit status 1 This is the same configuration I had with SuSE 9.1, and it woprked. Now in 9.3, this. I have to restart the postfix daemon several times whie fetchmail is fetching email, and then I get 5 (five) email delivered. Restart, another 5, and so on... -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

Are you using amavis-new with this? I had a ton of config issues after the upgrade to 9.3 and had to go thru both my postfix and amavis-new config files very carefully to get things working right again. If you have any .rpmnew files, diff them carefully against your config files to find the changes that occurred going to 9.3 Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.11.4-20a-default x86_64

Yes, I have, and I did... I'll do it again :-(

Grrrr. Yea, the 5 emails that get delivered each time seem related to "$max_servers = 5; ". [...] Mmm, no. I increased it to 15, and I get only 5 emails delivered each time. :-/ The error: Apr 26 14:25:40 nimrodel postfix/smtp[13848]: warning: connect #10 to subsystem private/scache: Connection refused must be related to the file: srw-rw-rw- 1 postfix postfix 0 Apr 23 14:08 /var/spool/postfix/private/scache= But what? :-/ [...] I got it. In '/etc/postfix/master.cf' this line was missing: scache unix - - n - 1 scache -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
