As I mentioned in a following post, I hate doing the patch circus.. I'm running VMware server in a production environment, so I need stability and speed. If I would go with the patch-train, I'd be facing a one-or-more-hour update cycle when a new kernel is installed, just too much time, and too much uncertainty.. I'll stick to 11.1 for now, at least it's rock-stable with VMware Server. I haven't had one single interruption since I installed the combination. Only small annoyances do to my own edits.
