Hi all, a couple days ago someone was asking about music software and I linked to my music page on Myspace and showed that not only is it possible to edit music on Linux, and in particular OpenSUSE, but that I had made ALL my music on my Laptop with OpenSUSE using only freely available tools. Anyway if you're into any of it, please check it out as I could use the feedback. I already got one person on here on my buddy list who thought it was cool, but anyone else that likes electronic or Industrial music or Horror Movies, please checks this out and you can get ahold of me on there as I check it daily: http://www.myspace.com/farmacyofhorror Danke, -Allen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Allen, The music is honestly better than I expected it to be, and the fact that it was created on linux puts the coolness factor way over the top. Joe -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks :) I used LMMS and MHWaveEdit to make all of it. Thanks again, -Allen / gore -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

All I can say is WOW!! That LMMS looks exciting and the MHWaveEdit seems to work. The last time I got any sound to work was on Win2K using Acid 4.0, LoopGator and Audacity. I never could get Audacity to work on my linux boxes and Ardour always seemed to need JACK which also has repeatedly failed on my *nix boxes. Now all I need is to get truecrypt, xmame and a NES emulator working for my life to be complete. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Noticed your comment about Audacity and Jack. How long has it been since you tried Audacity? I had problems with it at first, but recent updates seem to have made it work on my system. Still haven't had any luck with Jack, though. -ED- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
As a member of the Linux Audio Consortium I am not surprised that it is possible to wrote all ones music on Linux -- have been doing so for years. Personally I use Csound (and blue), Audacity, Lilypond, and sometimes Rosegarden, but I have lots of other stuff which I use as I need them. The next Linux Audio Conference is in Cologne (Koln) from Feb 28th to March 2nd. Call for music and papers is by 1 December. http://lac.linuxaudio.org/ ==John ffitch "This research is of insufficient standard" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
