Re: [opensuse] Why have I been thinking about Fedora??
Hi! what's going on people? At some point this thread has gone far beyond a simple OT to become some kid of "hey, I'm the rooster here"-topic... is this a kindergarten and I haven't noticed yet? O_o Whatever the case, it's pissing off already. Some kilobytes and bandwidth have been wasted already asking us all to use the lists properly and not to abuse the readers' patience by starting such threads over and over again. Filters? you say... I already use them based on that people would make a proper use of the mailing lists... that's one of the main reasons to use subject tags such as "[opensuse]" so you can classify your email accordingly. Expanding the filter criteria just because list subscribers won't make a proper use and won't follow the "rules" (based on the list description) is senseless, waste of time (should I create a new filter for each and every OT-thread posted here? no, thanks!) and not the ideal solution. Well... maybe if I pre-process the incoming email using some DSPAM or SpamAssassin tool could help but... again, it's better to stick to the list-etiquette than having such flame postings populating our inboxes. Such attitude in the list could drive subscribers to find it not interesting anymore... maybe our list overlord, huh Moderator, should move such threads to the suse-ot list right after they started... Jeez.. enough said. I guess you get the idea. Maybe this person actually wanted to solicit the opinions of his peers? And maybe acting like an ass warms .. oh yeah .. you have no heart by answering an email this. ***hole.
Whatever makes your little heart feel warmer
