[opensuse] How to load growisofs
I tried to run k3b and received an error message stating that growisofs was required. I would like to know how to load this file with zypper. Is there a way to see all packages that may be required by k3b, such ans codecs? try to load k3b from packman even better, after that, go to software.opensuse.org, search for "cdrecord" and install it jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Time for command-not-found - here on 13.2: $ cnf growisofs Program 'growisofs' is present in package 'dvd+rw-tools', which is installed on your system. Absolute path to 'growisofs' is '/usr/bin/growisofs'. Please check your $PATH variable to see whether it contains the mentioned path. I was running 3.2, but executed k3b as root and did not have growisofs in my path. The cnf reminder on the previous post solved my problem. Don -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Ah, OK -- and the problem has been solved. But I cannot help wondering why you would have run k3b as root -- just curious nothing more so don't have to answer it if you don't want to :-) ? When you run it as root you get the warning message, "It is not recommended to run k3b under the root user account. This introduces unnecessary security risks".
