Mixing Remastered OpenSuSE with Boxed SuSE V10.1
It is my understanding that all the install problems have been resolved when the OpenSuSE V10.1 was remastered. If I install SuSE 10.1 using these CD's can I then buy the boxed version to obtain programs which are not on the "free" set of CD's. I assume programs such as a FORTRAN compiler are included only on the purchased double layer DVD. Second question: Is there a site where one can get access to all the RPMS which are included on the double layer DVD? Currently running SuSE 10.0 Thanks, Terry

http://en.opensuse.org/Mirrors_Released_Version Use any convenient mirror; to get all the packages, you need to add both the Installation Repository and the Add-on Installation Repository to your package manager.

Buy the box to support the cause. But actually Novell does not hold anything back. Whatever is not in the remastered DVDs/CDs you can get from one of the two official repositories that you should add to Yast: a)Server: download.opensuse.org ; Directory: distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source/ b)Server: download.opensuse.org ; Directory: distribution/SL-10.1/non-oss-inst-source/ Carlos FL
