Neither Realplayer nor Juk will play MP3. I have messages calling for a codec, but that should not be necessary with MP3. Am i wrong? Hi Robert, Crippled multimedia support. Fetch: libfame libmad xmms-mad xine xine-ui (ask google where to download) install some *-devel packages via YaST, you will know what packages are needed, if you study the output of the "./configure"-steps upack the downloaded sources run "./configure" return to YaST to install more devel-packages ;-) run "make" and "make install" and "ldconfig"
Am i wrong? Does anybody has a great idea?
Maybe the support will be in the boxed version of final, maybe you also have to download some multimedia-packages as for 9.3. I don't know, ask Novell. -- mdc

Like the other email says, some things have been stripped from some applications shipped with SUSE. But Realplayer if you installed it from http://www.real.com/linux has its own MP3 codecs and does not rely on any other package for them. So there must be more to your issue... Peter "Pflodo" Flodin
You can have full multimedia support by installing some packages from packman web site. There was the same issue with 9.3 ( Boxed version), but it was possible to fix with a YOU update.
