pcmcia wireless card??
Can someone recommend a 802.11b pcmcia wireless card for my dell 5150 laptop? I am running Suse 9.0. thanks, Dan
I have just installed SUSE on my old Thinkpad 600. Everyting including the internal modem (after installing mwave patch) works fine. I have not managed to configure the sound card. Can someone help. ALSA did not find and cards, later it asked if I wanted to proble lagacy cards but again it did not find anything. Although, ALSA does did not configure anything the alsamixer (after running alsaconf) shows that the card CS4237B was detected and I could even play a CD but all this disappers when the machine is rebooted. This means that somethings is getting configured half way. Any help will be apprecited. bye Arvind
I don't remember the exact details, but I remember I had to setup a scripts
that ran at bootup time to setup the sound. Google "thinkpad 600 sound
Linux" and you'll come up with it.

I did install 8.2 on TP 600E 3 month ago and can say sound is much better there then on my TP T30 where is dies after each standby/wake up cycle. I didn't have to do anything special to make it work perfect. Martin __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Search - Find what youre looking for faster http://search.yahoo.com
