It's always been like this. So do this.. type sux then the root passwd then run your program. -- Linux User #147972 ---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org -- "There is no need to teach that stars can fall out of the sky and land on a flat Earth in order to defend religious faith."

Nope, it doesn't run. I can enter with 'sux' but then I can't run any graphic program (as yast2, synaptic ....). I forgot to mention I have SuSE 8.2 installed. su to root, run "rm /root/.Xauthority", exit and run "sux" again

Hi , I did have the same problems (suse prof 9.0), went back to KDE 3.2.0 and update it a second time (use synaptic/apt), this time in the root, and with success, no problems at all. It's very strange.......? GJ
