Hi,
the mailinglist software "majordomo" was found having several local vulnerabilties. However, the licence of the program prohibites us providing a fix! :-(
This is one big reason I'm trying to get away from non-free software. Anyone have recommendations for a good alternative to majordomo, hopefully one that's on my SuSE CDs? -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I use a program called Minimalist that I found on freshmeat. It's a very simplified alternative to Majordomo. I can't speak for how it's security is unfortunately because I don't know. I only use it for a read-only list for my company to send out monthly information mailings. Also you may want to look into the EZMLM package. I believe that is what is used for this list and I've heard good things about it. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R. But if it shares qmail's license it's unfree as well. Ciao, Stefan -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
Hi there. I'm trying to accomplish 2 related things: ----- Scenario 1: I would like whatever is displayed on my screen (under X) to be displayed on the screen of other hosts. So for e.g. if I move the pointer around, or type a document, the other hosts should be able to see me do it. Scenario 2: I would like to seize control of a remote users x-session, so that I can see what they're doing, and control their mouse pointer, keyboard YET still allowing them to control the pointer and keyboard, as required. ----- I've read the remote X mini-howto but it doesn't explain this, so any help would be greatly appericated. You see, i'm going to conduct a training program, and I believe this fuctionality will aid me (and the students) in the classroom..
