Hi,
the mailinglist software "majordomo" was found having several local vulnerabilties. However, the licence of the program prohibites us providing a fix! :-(
This is one big reason I'm trying to get away from non-free software.
Anyone have recommendations for a good alternative to majordomo, hopefully one that's on my SuSE CDs?
I use a program called Minimalist that I found on freshmeat. It's a very simplified alternative to Majordomo. I can't speak for how it's security is unfortunately because I don't know. I only use it for a read-only list for my company to send out monthly information mailings. Also you may want to look into the EZMLM package. I believe that is what is used for this list and I've heard good things about it. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R.
