I understand, but I used ftp.suse.com (no slashes) and it still doesn't like it for some reason. And I made sure there were no double slashes in the directory path... Weird. The original post cited the package collection at kde.org, which has the wrong structure for Yast (lacking intermediate directories). The package collection at suse.com (and its mirrors) does have the structure Yast wants. Hope that clarifies what works and what doesn't. Note that YaST gives horrible error messages. If, for example, the connection times out (and suse.com is incredible overloaded) it will tell you "can't find ...." instead of saying "connection timed out".
