RE: [SLE] Where to download KDE 3.2?
Still doesn't work for me. It keeps giving the same error message. Annoying, but not really a crisis...:) Mike ------------------------------- Cleary_Mike@emc.com ------------------------------- A wink is as good as a nod to a blind horse. I had this, it does accept it, your server has to be ftp.suse.com - no slashes and the directory is pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.0/yast-source/suse/ - note no slash at the start, this is then accepted. My error message was "Unable to create installation source from URL `ftp://ftp.us.kde.org//pub/kde/stable/3.2/SuSE/ix86/9.0/'. Details: ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media) Try again?" - note the double slash between org and pub. HTH. -- regards, Bill -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Mike -- Here are the entries I made in the boxes for the Yast "add source": Server name: ftp.leo.org Directory on server: pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.0/yast-source Also check "anonymous". Please note that although these are 3.2 packages, the source is mislabelled "supplementary KDE 3.1 update". You can use ftp.suse.com instead of the leo mirror, but in that case you need to remove the "suse" in the directory on the server. And a general note: for an rpm collection to be usable by Yast, it needs to have the structure "suse/i586" on top of it. The ftp.kde.org collection fails that requirement. Paul Abrahams
