I have been having a problem with GPG. I am running a fresh install of 8.2, with all available updates. I can create a gpg key, which works fine at the command line and in Kmail, however when I try to send an e-mail to myself in evolution, I cannot decrypt it when it arrives. I also have this issue with the KGPG applet. When I use the applet to encrypt clipboard, it never accepts my passphrase for decrypting. Has anyone else experienced this? Bill Jarrett

Oh man! I'd tried yesterday to get on the Biglumber list, and when it sent me the 'check-up' email to confirm my email address, I couldn't get it to decrypt in the kgpg editor. I'd figured out that the public key I had sent in to the list was an old one (still the 'right' one) but it had my picture in it and I thought that was what was messing me up. I re-exported my public key to my /home directory (without the pic in it), and *still* couldn't decrypt the message in the kgpg editor. Now, on reading your post, I opened up the kgpg editor and typed in a short test sentence. It encrypted just fine, but when I tried to 'decrypt' it's doing the same thing as with the Biglumber message...it won't accept my passphrase. It keeps asking 3 times, then I have to start all over but it just won't accept it. Gonna have to let the kgpg maintainer know about this I think. I'll write to him today and let him/them know. You need to also. John - -- I needed fresh bugs for my SuSE gecko, and Linux penguin. So I went out and caught this huge ugly blue and red and green and yellow butterfly. Hi Franklin, Uncommenting the 'use agent' did the trick for being able to decrypt in the kgpg editor...Thanks! As for the sdb, yes, I'd already looked at that, but I haven't had any troubles signing emails, but thanks again though. John - -- I needed fresh bugs for my SuSE gecko, and Linux penguin.
