-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, The last kernel update to Leap 15.4 killed my touchpad in Lenovo Yoga 300 laptop; however, the touchscreen works. I see a coredump, dunno if related. Well, I hibernated the machine, and on restore the touchpad was back :-o I don't know if it will fail on reboot again. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. That's sort of the very first thing you should have tried, isn't it? ;)

Hibernate? :-D I'm not looking forward to booting, then hibernate and restore the machine frequently, but I'll try, of course. Oh, you mean whether it will happen on every reboot? Oh, certainly I will try that, later today. It was almost three in the morning when I posted, waiting for sleep to come, not debugging ;-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Well, I halted (inc. power off), booted, and touch pad is working. No idea why it failed yesterday, it was the first time it failed since I bought this laptop in 2018. The disk is still having problems, though, reporting them every minute. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. Touchpad freezing has happened to me quite a few times. Maybe once a month for 7 years (since i got my former laptop, Thinkpad X1 Yoga). So I simply made a couple of simple scripts to handle it. Here's enabling it. You disable by --disable. $ cat `which touchpad_enable` #!/bin/sh xinput --enable "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint" xinput --enable "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" Check your input device xinput --list Install xinput, although I suspect you know how to :) zypper in xinput -- /bengan
