KDE Upgrade and Newbie Question
Hi folks, How do I upgrade to KDE 3.1.4 ? I have just tried apt-get but it gives me only version 3.1.3. I need to download it form kde.org? Isn't it soo many files? Anothr question: There is a way I can right-click a image in Konqueror and set it to desktop background directly, like Win XP does? Thanks for your time, Bruce "Sinner"

You need to do an update first. 3.1.4 is available via apt.

Apt (Synaptic is the way I did it, and yes it is a lot of files. At least by using apt, you only download the files you need to upgrade what you have.

What's in your sources.list? for gwdg it's in the kde section. You may have kde-stable instead of kde

Not sure, but you should be able to do it through the control center and browse to the picture. -- Franklin Maurer Using SuSE 8.2 Pro
Right click on the desktop then going to Background, browsing the picture, assigning it to the background. Thats a loooonng way. I want something faster. Like I said, right click over the picture, choosing something like "Assing this picture to the desktop background". Thanks Bruce Franklin Maurer wrote:

I found this way. 1) Find picture 2) Drag to desktop 3) choose set as wallpaper -- Franklin Maurer Using SuSE 8.2 Pro
