I use SuSE 9.1 Kernel 2.6.8 vanilla and kde 3.3.1 (rpms from ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/...). All of a sudden kalarm gives me this crud: Cannot enable alarms: Failed to register with Alarm Daemon (kalarmd) I have installed ALL of the kdepim3*-3.3.1 rpms Everything worked then all of a sudden this. What is wrong?
In KDE Control Center -> KDE Components -> Service Manager, what does it say for "Alarm Daemon"? Is it running? Is it in Startup services or Load-on-demand services? Osho On Thu, 28 Oct 2004 03:43:50 -0400, Steven Pasternak <stevenp500@bellsouth.net> wrote:

-- I just read your response to Steven, and checked the items you mentioned. Since my alarms do not appear to be working I found Alarm Daemon stopped. It was in startup services. I was able to start it manually so I guess I need to check my configuration. It was working the other day. Russ
