Hi: I am new to Linux and hope someone can help me with the following 3 answers. 1) Almost at the end of the installation, I choose to install the Lilo to the floppy disk. After I chose it, it complaints that the floppy disk I put in has more than 1024 cylinders and refues to install it. What can I do to make it install on the floppy so that I can use floppy disk to start my system. 2) I used the work around and use the bootdisk image on the CD to make a boot disk. However, by using that boot disk, it always ask me about the language and if I want a fresh install or not. Then it ask where should it boot from (in my case, hde8). What can I do to make those prompt disappear and make it default boot from hde8? 3) I have installed the system already and I wonder how can I create a boot disk in the Linux system. I tried Yast1 but I can only find create rescue disk but no boot disk. Please give me a hand. I appreciate it. Thanks. Is this a normal floppy drive?

Don't quite understand your problem? At the end of the LILO configuration, choose install LILO to floppy and YAST will prompt you to insert a blank(or it will format) disk into FDD, should not have any problem unless the floppy is not accessible? Good luck. Dennis/SG
