I'm not completely 100% about this, (I'm sure someone will confirm) but
here it goes..
1. You can set the behaviour of Ctrl-Alt-Del in YaST I believe. Otherwise,
try /etc/rc.config. It should be in there somewhere.
2. Is the CD Writer IDE or SCSI? You might need to recompile the kernel
with SCSI emulation enabled. (I'm not positive if this still holds true, it
used to though)
(And just to double check, it is jumpered correctly, right?)
3. Try adding a parameter to LILO to have it recognize all your mem. I
think it's something like mem=192MB or something like that. I know you can
set it in YaST.
Hope this helps. If I got something wrong (#2) please feel free to
correct/flame.

It's in rc.config: # # CONSOLE_SHUTDOWN determines how ctrl-alt-del is handled. # Attention: CHECK_INITTAB has to be set to yes, to activate this feature. # (ignore/reboot/halt) # CONSOLE_SHUTDOWN=halt If you choose "halt", and you have an APM kernel, the system will be switched off afterwards. From /sbin/init.d/halt: <SNIP> command="halt" test -e /proc/apm && command="halt -p" </SNIP>

Yes, that might be the reason. The default kernel has been compiled without SCSI emulation. If you need this feature, you will have to recompile the kernel. I will request that this feature will be enabled by default.
