Hi Landy! Use wget for downloading , it's faster and lightweight, text-term application. to download just open an extra xterm for the temporary download. type - wget paste the url for download here right after the wget . And it should work without stalls - unless you have modem, or other http/dns problem. You can eliminate things to get to whatever is causing problems. the same is happening with wget thats what i normally use also ncftp
