Anyway, DrKonqi GUI should open next, suggesting to generate a backtrace and report a bug. Does that happen?

You should get a message like: something something (core dumped) something , otherwise you have core dumping turned off. Turn it on as per this article[0].

Run coredumpctl list

Feed the number in PID column to coredumpctl: coredumpctl gdb <number>

This will generate a backtrace and will get you started.
