Help! I've lost my icon!
Hi! I'm using 7.1, and by mistake I deleted the second icon on the Panel - you know, the one with the links to YaST 1&2, Online Update, and so on. Is there any way I can get it back? I can't even remember what else was on the menu for that icon. Thanks, Kevin
Hi, Go to your ~/.kde2/share/config directory and edit the file kickerrc Make sure you have a section like [BrowserButton_2] FreeSpace=0 Icon=kdisknav Path=/opt/kde2/share/config/SuSE/yast now go to the [General] section and add BrowserButton_2 to the Applets= line HTH Anders On Sunday 06 May 2001 22:31, Kevin Donnelly wrote:

Hi Anders Brilliant! Thanks ever so much for your quick response - once I logged in again, the button was back. Thanks also for teaching me a bit more about KDE. Cheers Kevin

At the main KDE icon do: Configure Panel -> Add -> Button -> Suse -> Administration -> Configuration when you get to the configuration panel, there will be a green check mark at the top to add the entire panel. Click on that and you will have your kicker icon back:). -- Cheers, Jonathan "UNIX is a computer operating system, like Windows, but one which, unlike Windows, is more celebrated than cursed."

Hi Jonathan Thanks for this. Anders had already pointed me in the right direction, but I looked at your suggestion too. I don't have those options in the K menu - does this apply to a version of SuSE other than 7.1? I get K -> Panel Menu -> Add, and Application or Applet, but no Button option. Thanks Kevin

My Mistake! This must be a new arrangement for KDE 2.1.1. It might possibly be under Applet. I too am glad Anders wrote his suggestion in as I need to know more about these config files. -- Cheers, Jonathan "UNIX is a computer operating system, like Windows, but one which, unlike Windows, is more celebrated than cursed."
