Suse 9.2 KDE There seems to be built in anti-spam in Kmail, but when I go to run the wizard it says that spamassassin is not on my machine. I went to Control Center to check and it is installed. Is this feature functional?

Hmmm. I started control center and cannot find anything for spamassassin and I know I have it installed. Try instead Yast->add/remove software and search for spamassassin. There you find if it is installed -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge

I'm not sure what John is referring to, but in 9.3 with kmail I see a line that reads "spam status: spamassassin" with a graph bar next to it. This is in the header below the subject line. This wasn't present in 9.1, or at least wasn't turned on, but I assusme this info comes from the mailing list server. -- Jim Flanagan linuxjim at jjfiii.co

As far as I know kmail only shows that line if it finds the header line X-Spam-Status:, which is set by spamassassin. And yes, lists.suse.com does set that line. Sandy

And if you run SA locally, it will be replaced by yours. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
