Re: [SLE] Installation Source in Yast / Not detecting more recent packages from Guru's site
I recently decided to add Guru's site to my list of sites to look for RPMs for SuSE 9.3. As a test, I knew I wanted to updated from amarok 1.2.2 to amarok 1.3.7, [snip] THE PROBLEM: For some reason when I go to install new software in Yast, it's not showing that 1.3.7-2.guru version available. Why?
Do you have "Refresh" on in the YaST for that Guru repository?
I've had the same issue. I did a manual refresh and still only came up with the older version in YaST. (I'm on the 10 directory.) I ended up simply downloading the rpms and installing locally. This was exactly to get rid of an error I was getting in the 1.3.1 version of Amarok. -- kai ponte www.perfectreign.com linux - genuine windows replacement part

You may have to also move the repo up the list to a higher position, it does make a difference as to the priority of what is displayed and offered for install/upgrade. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
