Google 'rawrite.exe' for windows and run that in a command prompt window.
It will do what you ask for.

So I don't know why the SUSE canceled boot floopy disk image in
version 10.
To save space opn the media. Many systems nowadays don't even have a
floppy drive.
There are instructions for building boot floppies, in the commercial
package. From /boot/README
"Creating SUSE LINUX 10.0 Boot Disks
----------------------------------
The boot files are split across several floppy disks.
To create boot disks, run 'mkbootdisk' (the program is in this directory) on
a Linux system:
1. Mount CD1 or DVD (e.g. to /media/cdrom).
2. Run
/media/cdrom/boot/mkbootdisk /media/cdrom
to create boot disk image files bootdisk1 - bootdiskN.
3. Write these image files to floppies, using e.g.
dd if=bootdisk1 of=/dev/fd0
(and bootdisk2 - bootdiskN accordingly).
4. A short usage summary of 'mkbootdisk' gives
mkbootdisk --help"

Subj: Re: [SLE] Why hasn't floopy image in SUSE 10 Date: Mon Oct 24, 2005 10:11 pm Size: 1K To: "suse-linux-e@suse.com" OK, Thanks for your reply.
As you say, This floopy boot disk is made in linux. But in my machine, there is no linux environment but only windows. So I still don't know how to make a floopy boot disk in windows environment.
Some good advice about it?

Ignore the "grumpy" ones at your peril. They're usually the ones who know what's what. The grumpiness comes from dealing with so much nonsense and sloth. As for grumpy, trim your damn posts and stop adding blank lines betwen every line of text. Netiquette is getting awfully sloppy here since the influx of the latest crop of newbies... (And no, using stark language in an attempt to keep the crap down is not a violation of netiqette.) RRS

:-) It would also help if everyone (re-)read Eric Raymonds "How To Ask Questions The Smart Way: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html /Per Jessen, Zürich

Perhaps we get "grumpy" when we see that the person involved is apparently not putting in the effort to find his own solutions, and expecting us to do the work for him. In a previous message, he had stated: "If I use CD or DVD to boot, it means I must burn a CD for boot disk. If SUSE can supply disk image, I only need to copy some floopy disk and it is very convenient to me." That sound to me as though he can burn the CDs, but just doesn't want to.
