Sorry not to increment nothing usefull but i think is not only me that is starting to think that new version was a bit premature getting out to the public. I hope next version to be more stable.
Try looking at it this way: you wouldn't expect to see a bunch of perfectly healthy people jumping around if you went to a hospital. Likewise, this mailing list (mostly) gets postings from people with problems with their installations. To have problems with certain combinations of hardware or problems because of lack of knowledge from the system's administrator's or users side is unavoidable for any OS. Best regards, David List
SuSE is by far the best Linux distro out there, but I do agree with a few on the list that 7.3 was premature. Install problems so far: (Fresh Install) 1) Hauppage TV tuner card found but not functional 2) Modem not found 3) X Windows, fonts unreadable 4) NVidia drivers somewhat flakey I recompiled a custom kernel, and installed it. And thats as far as I got. I haven't booted since then, so, we'll see what other problems arise in the next few days. I didn't think that YaST[1,2] supported these. It was always a simple matter of un-commenting a line in /etc/modules.conf for me...
2) Modem not found
That sucks...did it work with 7.2 with no manual configuration? What kind of modem is it.
3) X Windows, fonts unreadable 4) NVidia drivers somewhat flakey
I'd attribute these to non-Free software. ;) <duck> Let's see your configuration file...what's your mobo/video combination? ===== -- -=|JP|=- Hit me! - http://www.xanga.com/cowboydren/ Jon Pennington | Debian 2.3 -o) cowboydren @ yahoo . com | Auto Enthusiast /\\ Kansas City, MO, USA | ICQ UIN 69 67 29 31 _\_V __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 7.3 now supports TV cards....Hauppage is pretty standard. My FlyVideo 98/FM works. Might (will) want to go through manually. After configuring its listed as an unkown device.

Which fonts?
