Hi, I think someone asked something similar to this but I want to put a different question so I changed the title a bit :-) When using Outlook on Windows, I stored my documents and outlook PST's on a network share ... I can access those shares so docs aren't aproblem and I have transferred my mail into Evolution sucessfully. The Evo mail folders are stored under Evolution in my home folder but what I want to know is is there any way that I can put those folders elsewhere i.e. on the network & have Evolution still read them so that if my machine falls apart or hardware fails I have a backed up version on my server? One thought occurs to me is that it might be possible to "kid" Linux into thinking that a mounted share is identical to a folder in other words if I moved the evoltion files to a share then mounted that share onto a folder called Evolution (in my home drive) would Evolution be able to tell the difference? Use imap.
Charles
I just moved the evo folder to a SMB mounted home share on my Samba server and then made a symlink to it in my home folder on my PC. David Bottrill
