[opensuse] Problems with upgrade to LEAP
I am using wicked in Leap 42.1. When I execute wicked show config all I get: lo up link: #1, state up type: loopback config: compat:suse:/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-lo leases: ipv4 static granted leases: ipv6 static granted addr: ipv4 127.0.0.1/8 [static] addr: ipv6 ::1/128 [static] eth1 device-unconfigured link: #2, state down, mtu 1500 type: ethernet, hwaddr 00:19:b9:85:2c:bb wlan1 device-unconfigured link: #3, state down, mtu 1500 type: wireless When I go to the Yast network settings, it does not give me any option for the devices as in 13.2 If I execute the lsmod command, both the b44 and ssd modules are loaded as expected. It I edit the device under yast and tell it to use b44, and then return the field is blank again. if I wicked ifreload all eth0 no-device wlan0 no-device even though the modules are loaded. grub also appears to have become confused. On boot there is a message that says it is trying to boot by UUID and I get a 1.5 minute timeout while it tries. It is eventually successful. That message does not appear is my dmesg listing, but I do get the following message: Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.1.13-5-default root=UUID=67655536-6308-45bb-a4d4-3ce065e5e1f3 video=1920x1200@60 processor.ignore_ppc=1 resume=/dev/disk/by-uuid/486575f8-5169-44e7-ba5b-8268e2a7bfb8 splash=silent quiet showopts Should I just run grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg to make a new one, or is something else going on?
