[opensuse] vine videos on 13.2 / firefox 43
Howdy... Yes, seems I have been whining a lot this week... Vine videos don't play on my 13.2 install with firefox 43 (opensuse version) unless I manually go and disable the "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. 1.5.1" plugin that is auto-installed. Since I have the flash plugin set as "ask-to-activate", I then also have to click again to allow the vine video to actually run with flash. Disabling / re-enabling process is annoying and there is no "ask-to-activate" option for the OpenH264 plugin. What is the result if I leave this plugin permanently disabled? Will all html5 stuff now fail? Is there that much html5-only stuff out there at this point in time that I will now have to reverse that disable / enable process each time I want to view those? How does everyone else deal with this annoyance? Or, am I even understanding the problem correctly? Thanks.
