"Setup groupware" in Kontact that also works fine
I open "Setup groupware" dialogue and close it, cause I've no groupware, and Kontact simply vanishes.
I install the patches and worked with some minor tweaks : I had to start with a empty kde4 dir and then import the kde3 stuff. Now I've ti figure how to align the icons in my desktop :-) -- Regards, Lívio Cipriano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Right click on the desktop, alight horizontally/vertically. The trickier part is to find out how to resize them all. The old option of changing the size of the desktop icons in control center doesn't work any more, and the little cross-like thing on the top left of the widget doesn't react. anybody knows where did the run go from the classical-style menu? how to add icons on the quick lunch? -- Sergey Mkrtchyan, PhD Student @ Department of Physics & Astronomy, Faculty of Science, University of Waterloo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Install KDE3. KDE4 is widely recognized as not being ready for use yet. There was a huge thread here on this list about the stupidity of releasing it without MAJOR Warnings about functional limitations. If you want it to work, use KDE3 for another 6 to 9 months. If you want it to look pretty use KDE4 and put up with a lot of missing functionality. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

My rule of thumb is "use the version before the last". I've some 10.3 systems running pretty well. I'll watch 11 but maybe I'll just change in 11.1 -- Regards, Lívio Cipriano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, you're right, probably I should give up. I stayed up till 3 am trying to get things as close as possible to what I wanted, but there are still a lot of minor but annoying problems. I really liked KDE 3.5, everything was just perfect. Going back to 3.5 tonight. I'm not so sure. I changed the icons size, but to take effect I'd to restart KDE; log out and in again. -- Regards, Lívio Cipriano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
