Hi
I don't see the actual lilo.conf at the moment, because I booted to my
"old" linux that is on HDA.
I downloaded the abit-k7 RAID driver from highpoint-tech, and because
it is binary, and bound to either 2.2.18 or 2.4.0, I went for the
2.2.18.
I started up with the boot-disk from highpoint, so I had the 2.2.18
kernel with the scsi-emulation module for the RAID controller installed.
Then I installed with yast2 SuSE 7.2 on top of that. And it ofcourse
installed the 2.2.19 kernel, but I was able to continue the
installation to the login-prompt.
I logged in, compiled the 2.2.18 kernel, ran the installation script
for the RAID-kernel, and everything seemed to be fine.
I the ran LILO, and it gave no errors.
then after reboot I get "LI" only, if I still have hda and hdb
connected. If I remove hda and hdb, I get repeatedly "01 01 01" on my
screen, so there is something wrong with the lilo.conf I believe.
The lilo.conf has at the moment (I think)
boot = /dev/sda
image = /boot/vmlinuz.without370 (the 2.2.18 kernel from highpoint)
root = /dev/sda3
So I'm missing or misconfiguring something here..
does this give You better idea what can be wrong?
Jaska.

Make sure that the boot variable in /etc/lilo.conf is set correctly I
my case it was set to /dev/hda1 iso hda. Perhaps you have a similar
problem?

Hi
I have 2 IDE disk, and 2 "scsi" disk connected to Abit-motherboard
RAID.
I was succecful to "downgrade" my kernel to 2.2.18, so that is
should boot from sda.
Now my LILO says only "LI" if I have my HDA and HDB connected.
If I disconnect HDA and HDB, in boot I get repeatedly "01 01 01 01
01".
The "first" RAID where to boot from is SDA.
Now I would like to know what do I need in lilo.conf to get it to
boot from sda correctly... ?
Jaska.
