[opensuse] Missing Mime handler for application/x-gzip

Hi guys, I'm trying to play a flash video ( .flv), but none of the players in opensuse work. Some complain that they are looking for the decoder for "application/x-gzip" This ought to be easy to provide, but I'm not sure what they want for a program to handle this. Any thoughts on getting this to work? Thanks. Lance Drager

kaffeine (xine based) and VLC Media player both work for me. Kaffeine came from KDE Extras repository vlc came from packman repository, as did libxine2 (which kaffeine uses) -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Flash video is typically handled with "adobe flash", but others sometimes can play them. Perhaps mplayer or vlc. But gzip? No way. Maybe the place you get that video wrongly labels it as x-gzip, and then it obviously fails to play. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
