I had a slight crash on Crossover and now I can't get any programs started like word, excel or ACT. I rebooted and still nothing. I try to go into Office setup and I get an error saying "Unable to get list of installed applications: Child process exited abnormally." I was going to click RESET OFFICE SETUP, but I don't know what it will do. I don't want to re-install everything.

I had the same problem the first day I installed and reading through the docs I came across this nugget of information: delete the socket file in: ~/cxoffice/support/dotwine/wineserver-[hostname]/ And then try again. Everything should be fine. I crashed it trying to start Access, Excel, Word and Powerpoint all at the same time to take a screen shot to show to my windows-retarded friends. Jethro

Did that. It worked perfectly. Thanks for the advice. Tom On Wed, 2002-05-29 at 18:21, Jethro Cramp wrote:
