I use Grub as bootloader. I have two harddisks in my dual-boot PC and have installed Windows 2000, Best Linux on the first disk, and SuSE 7.1 on the second disk. The steps to set up regular dual-boot of Win2K and Linux: 1. Make a Windows partition on your hard disk and format it as FAT32 or NTFS. A good tool is Partition Magic. 2. Make the rest of the disk a Linux partition, including a swap partition. 3. Install Windows 2000 first. It will be seen as e.g. hda1 in Linux. Windows will install to the first part of the hard disk and overwrite the MBR. 4. Then install Linux on the Linux partition. Boot on the distribution CD. It will be mounted as e.g. hda5 in Linux. 5. Boot into Linux with a diskette or the installation CD after install. Get into Yast - System Administration - Kernel & boot configuration - Lilo configuration. If you have SuSE 7.1, Windows should be automatically set up for you in Lilo. Choose to install Lilo to the Master Boot Record. Dual-boot should now work after reboot. 6. You can now alternatively install Grub which makes it more convenient to setup and boot more operative systems if you want. Grub has its configuration file in /etc/grub.conf. I will try that, but the card works in Windows 2000. It's a dual-boot PC.

Just because I am curious, how did you managed to make dual boot with win2k & Linux ? First you installed win2k, then Linux and now you bootup using Lilo?
