[opensuse] midnight commander different panel size
Hi, i am using midnight commander (mc) heavily in daily work. because of more screens at the pc, i would like to have the two panels (left / right) in different with, to use the available screen space more useful. (i would have each side of the midnight commander on one screen completely and would have the monitor frame between the 2 lines.) when i do this so, i have now on each monitor the same size of mc. is there a possibility to have one panel more with than the other? simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I don't understand monitor frame between the two lines. I keep my right panel configured to listing format > long file list. Maybe that's close to what you want? -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks! mh, sorry for my bad english.... i trie to explain: every monitor (hardware) has a frame around, i speaking from the hardware chassis of the monitor. = frame ? normally mc the left an right panel has same size. between this 2 panels, there are two lines. i would place the left panel on the right side of my left monitor, and the right panel of the left side of the right monitor. so far so good. but now i like to enlarge only one side of the panels, so that i will have for each shown line have more chars inside. in my example i have 93 chars each line left panel and 93 chars each line right panel. but i like to have lets say 130 chars left panel and 93 right panel. - i do not want this by changing char size, i want to get this by changing window size of one panel only. hope this is more clear. simoN -- www.becherer.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
