Hello, Decided to reinstall the OS and noticed a couple of items during the initial install phase; When using LILO, what is 'resume=/dev/sda1'? I have the root and boot partitions on /dev/hda. Also noticed that the Memtest selection didn't appear. How do I get it loaded in LILO? Best regards, James

Where is your swap partition?
/dev/fd0. ;-)
You probably have more space on /dev/null. :D

resume is a kernel parameter that tells Linux where to store the current state when told to suspend operation. If you're not using suspend/ resume, you can safely remove it.

Is the software installed? If you've selected the software for install, the LILO entry should turn up automagically. Otherwise it's just: image = /boot/memtest.bin label = memtest86 /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution.
