0,30 * * * * myprogram.sh 0-30/30 0-23 * * * myprogram2.sh
Both of them do not look to work.
try 0 30 * * * <path>/myprogram.sh
This will not work. The crontab-format looks like <min> <hour> <day of month> <month> <day of week> So in order to run a script every 30 minutes try an entry like 0,30 * * * * /path/to/script.sh If your script uses programs and commands, don't forget to set the correct $PATH for your crontab-environment. To check for your environment try an entry like * * * * * set and check your mail. Don't forget to delete the entry unless you want an e-mail every minute :)
