But then you have no more pointing device? A mouse is the best device i know, but for a laptop it's not ideal. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I use the Synaptics drivers [ not synaptic package handler ] to turn off the touchpad when a mouse is plugged in. No mouse the touchpad works normal. Best of both worlds. I always liked that little joystick mouse in the old Thinkpads. -- A cat is a puzzle with no solution. Cats are tiny little women in fur coats. Why does having a laptop make a mouse less than ideal? I have a small mouse, (the hard to find Dell Pu705 bluetooth) (AKA Travel Mouse) and it fits in a pocket easily. I find it travels well. I hate touchpads. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I hate touchpads.
I also carry a mouse in my computer bag for those times when it's convenient to use. Otherwise, I use the TrackPoint. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

A bit more weight to carry, one more cable (my laptop doesn't have bluetooth, and only 3 usb ports), and most important, I often use my laptop on cramped, small tables. Or no tables at all. Perhaps at a coffe shop.
I hate touchpads.
I don't. I hate mice. I love trackballs :-p - -- Cheers Carlos E. R.
