Hello, everyone. We have just migrated a client to an 8.2 Pro box for their distribution/warehousing system, and everything has gone smoothly except for one thing; printing. They print a lot of reports (pick tickets, invoices etc.) to dot matrix printers (yes, we have multi-part forms, too) but we seem to be losing the form feeds from the ends of print jobs. As such, when a job finishes, the print head stops immediately, and the next job starts on the same line as the last job finished, instead of starting at the next top of form. The app vendor insists that their reports include the form feed at the end of the job, and form feeds within a given print job seem to work just fine. We are currently using CUPS with raw print queues set up as we are only printing ASCII characters within these reports. Does anyone have any ideas about why we would be losing the end of job form feed ? Thanks, Stuart.

No answer for you but I suggest you try the linuxpringing forums listed at: http://www.linuxprinting.org/newsportal/ You fail to mention the printer/printers so I cannot be more precise but the epson forum has been very helpful for me. gud luk -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org
