(hd0,2) for GRUB is /dev/sda3 for kernel /dev/sda3 is my boot partition
Also check do you have file /boot/message .
It is also possible to restore a botched bootloader by doing the following: 1) Go into Yast and look for the System section. 2) click on Boot Loader 3) From the Boot Loader window, select Other 4) Select Propose New Configuration 5) Select Other again 6) Select Write Bootloader Code to Disk 7) Select Finish This usually fixes any problems I've had with the bootloader in the past. I don't know if all of the options are necessary, but it has helped me out of many situations. If somehow your MBR has been botched, you can also select Restore MBR of Hard Disk from the Other menu.
