According to the KDE docs, there should be an Autostart folder on my installed desktop -- but there isn't. Does anyone know why not? I did get around the problem by creating a link from my desktop to ~/.kde/Autostart (would a copy or move have been better?), but I'm still wondering why I had to do that at all. Paul Abrahams

I'm not sure what doc you are looking at but it may be old or SuSE just decided to put it elsewhere (HOME/.kde2/Autostart. I think with kde1 it was on your desktop but I THINK that with kde2 it was moved. If you are using kde2 you can out it anywhere you want it to be via the control center. No need to copy it or make links. The control center will do it all for you. Mark
