Christian, many thanks, acpi=off is the solution. Regards, Alois Levermann opensuse@opensuse.org schrieb am 05.12.05 19:24:25:
Hello,
Try acpi=off as boot parameter, it has helped in some cases. http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux/2005-Sep/0977.html
And please do not send fullquotes. http://www.opensuse.org/Opensuse_mailing_list_netiquette#Learn_to_quote ;-)

I'm glad to hear this - however, I would only call it a workaround. Pleease open a bugreport on bugzilla.novell.com and ask for a fix without needing acpi=off. acpi has some nice features that are also disabled for you now... Oh, and *PLEASE* do not send fullquotes or top-posts. Maybe St. Nicholas will bring you a rod instead of sweets otherwise...

Regards, Christian Boltz -- Die Lösung ist denkbar einfach und naheliegend: Ich bin ein Trottel. Aber das wussten wir ja schon. :-) [Ratti in suse-linux]
