suse + winxp + slackware as second distro
I already have installed in my computer SuSE and WinXP. It's a dual-booting computer. I want to know if installing slackware in another partition could affect the other two systems. Also I wonder whether I should use the same swap partition or it should be better have two swap partition for two distro. Will slackware create a menu as SuSE had done: choice OS to start, Linux, Windows, Memory Test, etc.? How could I include Slackware as a option to SuSE starting up menu to permit choosing Linux, Windows, Memory Test *AND* Slackware? thanks for any help a. PS-I don't know how slackware works. I just want to try another distro this time.

It shouldn't. I have here SuSE 9.0, Win2000 and Slack 9.1.

The same swap partition will do fine.

Slackware will want to install lilo. As you're only trialling it, I wouldn't let it. Include Slackware in your SuSE boot loader instead.

Depends whether you're using grub or lilo but this is well documented.
